ABOUT US
We are a multi-generational, multi-ethnic church in the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia, called to "lead people to Jesus, make them more like Him, and see them lead others to Him."

Believers House was planted in October 2020, as a non-denominational church for people of every nation, every tongue and every generation.
our purpose
We exist to lead people to Jesus, make them more like Him and see them lead others to Him.
our vision
Our vision is to build an army of mature believers around the world who abide in the living word of God through faith in the finished works of Jesus, bearing fruits – disciples – that remain till Jesus returns.
our mission
We will achieve this vision by welcoming and leading the lost to Jesus, equipping them to mature into the fullness of the stature of Christ, through the preaching and teaching of the undiluted word of God, before sending them out to fulfil their God-given purpose, in life and ministry.

Hence our slogan; Come, Grow, Go.
Come
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Matt 11:28 NLT

Grow
[Growing spiritually] to become a mature believer, reaching to the measure of the fullness of Christ. Eph 4:13 AMP

Go
You are to go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere. Mark 16:15 TLB

Our PASTORS
dorcas & 'Seun Salami
Lead Pastors
'Seun and his wife, Dorcas, led the team that planted Believers House in October of 2020, during the world-wide pandemic after moving to Halifax from the West Coast in 2019.
They have served as youth pastors for many years while Dorcas has almost a decade's experience in church administration. 'Seun has also been in ministry in various forms since his teens; leading a Teens Church and later a College Campus Fellowship and is the author of six books as well as being a conference speaker and publisher.
In 2018, they co-authored 'Love Code' a covenant relationship guide that has been distributed free to hundreds of young adults across Canada and the world. They are the founders of Believers Heritage Ministries, with a mandate to help believers grow and mature in faith and the finished works of Jesus, the Christ.

Fondly referred to as PS & PD, they have a heart for young people and are passionate about the God ordained marriage institution.

They’ve been married for 11 years, and are blessed with three sons, Oluwafimidara Shem, Oluwadayomola Daniel and Oluwademilade Joshua.
our beliefs
We believe in the Bible as the infallible Word of God.

We believe in the Divine Trinity - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, infallible teachings, crucifixion and death, burial and resurrection, ascension, and coming return to this earth in power and glory to rule and reign.

We believe in repentance from sin and righteousness through faith in the finished works of Jesus at Calvary’s cross.

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Ghost for all believers with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

We believe that divine healing of sickness and disease is provided for all believers in Jesus through the atonement.

We believe in the traditional biblical view of our sexuality, the importance of chastity and the place of heterosexual marriage as God’s intended context for complete sexual expression according to Gen 2:21-24.

We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as either male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God.

We believe in the second coming of Jesus and the rapture of the church.

We believe in the tribulation as an event which will occur between Christ’s second coming for his bride and His return in Judgement.

We believe in the 1000-year reign of Jesus Christ on the earth.

We believe in the great white throne judgment as the final judgment.

We believe in a new heaven and new earth that will replace the current heaven and earth.

We believe in heaven and hell as literal places of final eternal destiny based on acceptance or denial of the sacrifice of Jesus.

We believe in water baptism by immersion rather than sprinkling, as Jesus exemplified, as a symbolic outward sign of separation from the world.

We believe in restitution, where stolen goods are returned to their rightful owners.

We believe in the Lord’s supper, practiced to remember His death and covenant until he returns.
our OVERSIGHT
Although we are a non-denominational church, we have leaders in the body of Christ we are willingly submitted to, for guidance and oversight.
