About the Role
Believers Heritage Ministries is searching for a Worship/Acting Executive Pastor to help further and lead a Christ-focused worship culture and perform administrative duties at Believers House Halifax.
The Worship/Acting Executive Pastor will help shepherd the body of believers into worship, oversee the worship leaders and musicians, and lead our administrative office in the day to day running of the ministry office.

JOB ROLES AND DESCRIPTION
· Support the volunteer Worship Lead in overseeing the worship team in Halifax.
· Develop, manage, and train our worship teams for services across all ministry expressions.
· Oversee the planning of worship services together with the Worship Lead, to ensure a cohesive worship experience
· Oversee the coordination of worship sets and liturgies.
· Plan special services in coordination with the Worship Lead, for Christmas Eve, Easter, Good Friday, Worship Night, Revive, Catalyst, and other special services.
· Recruit, train, and oversee worship team members and volunteers.
· Oversee the maintenance and organization of worship equipment and instruments.
· Oversee regular rehearsals with the worship team as necessary.
· Participate in and/or lead staff meetings and perform church administrative duties.
· Coordinate church volunteers (Dream Team) and serve as the bridge between church staff and volunteers.
· Report to the Co-lead Pastor in performing administrative duties as required.
JOB Requirements
· A strong personal faith and a heart for worship.
· Must align with the church beliefs and be committed to the mission and values of the church.
· Must be willing to go through Believers House growth track (BH101-301).
· Must have previous experience in worship ministry and leading worship in a church setting.
· Proficiency in leading and conducting worship services.
· Familiarity with a variety of worship music styles.
· Experience with sound systems and worship technology.
· Ability to work collaboratively with church staff and volunteers.
· Strong organizational and administrative skills.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Strong musical skills, both instrumental and vocal.
· Ability to read and arrange music.
· Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
· Experience in pastoral care, spiritual guidance and church administration.
· Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments, as well as a degree in Theology, Music, or a related field will be an asset.
Salary will be based on education, previous ministry and work experience.
Job Type: Full-time (35.5 hr/week)
(Mondays and Thursdays off except for worship team rehearsals on Thursday nights)
